Dog Survives 9 Days in Trunk

A Border Collie survived 9 day’s in the truck of a car in England by going into a type of hibernation.  The Collie (Gale) was found in the truck of a neighbor’s car Tuesday after disappearing from its farm in Flyingthorpe.

It turns out Gale was well hidden in the trunk of a neighbor who does odd jobs around the pet owners home. The owner said, the dog is afraid of loud noises and must have jumped into the trunk when startled by a low-flying airplane.

The Neighbor found Gale when he decided to clean his trunk 9 day’s later. Gale was taken to the Veterinarians office immediately and was properly taken care of. The Veterinarian said pets can go into a Hibernation mode under certain situations which probably was the case.
